Alternativa3 is a cooperative society that since 1992 has lived and worked for Fair Trade. Fair Trade is an alternative form of international trade that takes into account human rights, environment protection and business ethics, beyond profits. Our products have high standards, not only concerning materials but also related to society and environment, they are products made with dignity.

Our products come from countries economically disadvantaged by international trade.  Producers organized in cooperatives or other participatory forms obtain fairer prices for their crops, which allows them to improve their living conditions and their community life and decide on their own development.

Since 1993 Alternativa3 is part of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and is a founding member of the National Coordinator of Fair Trade Organisations (CECJ) and the Association of Fairtrade-label promotion. 

From the beginning our mission is to spread the principles of Fair Trade, considering that the real development is only possible by combining economic growth and social justice. 

In 1995 we created the first Fair Trade coffee roaster in Spain, where we produce our own coffee brands and others from organizations interested in Fair Trade coffee.
