Ng'Uuru Gakirwe
This organization was founded in 1982, with the main purpose of providing "water to every single house and building of the region established at the foot of the mountain Kenya". This project has enabled the improvement of social growth.
Since 1986, the NGO AES from Padua works with the Ng'uuru Gakirwe association in order to reach wider profit from the project. Its main farming product is Karcade (hibiscus) whose flower is extracted to elaborate beverage and jam. It is cultivated without no chemical additives nor herbal medicine. The profits of its sale allow the proper running of the irrigation system, completely essential for the families who live in the nearbies.
Products: hibiscus flower from which jam and infusions are made.
