Sasha Handcrafts
Placed in Calcutta, Sasha was born under the protection of an NGO, Sasha Shanti Ayop, as response to the needs of marketing of approximately 50 handcraft groups in 15 communities of Bengal, Utar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajashthan.
In its origins, Sasha established a small trade in Calcutta, where several groups were selling theis production, and later others joined. When the sales exceeded the possibilities of the local market, Sasha Export was created in order to access the international market.
