The organization SILENCE is placed in Calcutta (India) and it began as an NGO dedicated to the persons with deafness and later to other physically disabled persons who suffer social discrimination in their communities, specially in the rural areas.

Nowadays, SILENCE consists of 72 workers who at the same time learn diverse skills as for instance managing computers, manual works or a basic vocational training. Later SILENCE tries to place the persons who are qualified for a work in local companies, and this way be able to admint new members.
