Placed in ' Serra do Mel ', region located 500 km from Big Rio do (Natal), very similar to Sahel's desert in Africa. It is a very dry zone and recently was affected by the hurricane ' El Niño'. Most of the land belongs to landowners and often remain uncultivated.
