CIAP-Central Interregional de Artesanos del Perú
CIAP is a non-profit organization, constituted by artisan associations and groups from different regions in Perú. It was founded in 1992 with the aim of being a marketing and sales channel for crafts made by its members, seeking better living conditions for these artisans and the development of their communities.
Their central office is in Lima, while the communities are located in suburbs and/or rural communities in Lima, Ayacucho, Huancayo, Cuzco, Puno y Arequipa.
They develop training programmes and technical assistance for the artisans, in order to adapt production, quality, designs, to the international market requests, while at the same time keeping the essence of their andine culture.
